Jamie Fairfull continued his record-breaking month with a fourth personal best at the Ipswich Jaffa Friday 5, running 34:38 despite the tough hill at the end of the race. Matt Kett finished in 40:36, followed by Phill and Tina Clarke in 43:15. Dawn Shilling ran 44:30, but Matt Davey struggled with a knee injury to finish in 45:55.
The Brandon Forest half-marathon saw another great result for Laura Shewbridge setting her third personal best of the month in 1:29:35 to finish 3rd lady. Ian Linton improved his fastest time on the Brandon course by over 4 minutes in 1:50:52, while Carolyn Bownes and Barry Dobson followed up their Sunday trail race with a time of 2:00:50.
There was a third personal best at the BUPA London 10K where Dawn Shilling ran 53:48 to improve her previous mark by 1:20.
The Hatfield Broad Oak 10k attracted a high-quality field, with Simon Morgan running 40:02 to finish just outside the top hundred in a field of almost 1300. In the 1 mile event Abigail Morgan ran her fastest time of 6:46, with Daisy Greenwood also improving her best in 9:11 and Debra James running her first solo mile in 9:15.
