Festive racing for Tiptree

Tiptree Road Runners were in festive mood in the run-up to Christmas. Phill Clarke, Tina Clarke and Simon Morgan took part in the Search for Santa night time trail race, completing the course in 1:13 and, on the way, collecting chocolates and running into werewolves with large torches and scary Santas.
Saturday’s Santa’s sack Trail race. Laura Shewbridge, Paul Shewbridge and Damien Hartshorne finished in 58:23, with Phill Clarke, Simon Morgan and Jim Slater coming home in 60:40. Malcolm Bailey and Dave Payne completed the course in 64:00, with Carolyn Bownes and Tina Clarke finishing in 67:00.
On Sunday, James Haskey-Jones joined a small group competing in an aquathon, completing a 400 swim before tackling a 5K run in icy conditions.
