Tiptree Road Runners

At the penultimate 53-12 league fixture at Great Notley Country Park, James Haskey-Jones continued his superb season with another top twenty finish in 18^th position. Laura Shewbridge, returning to running after a chest infection, ran a strong race to finish fourth and maintain her position as one of the league’s top performers over the season. Simon Morgan had another consisent run in 35^th place, followed by Vince Monk in 81^st and Paul Dellar in 86^th. Matt Davey 94^th and Jamie Fairfull 96^th continued their season of top 100 places and there was a welcome return for Mark Brewer in his first race since a serious accident. He ran cautiously to finish 103^rd. Malcolm Bailey in 111^th led a close contingent of Tiptree runners, with Jim Slater in 113^th, Graham Moon making his debut in 114^th and Rob Hadgraft 115^th. Ian Linton 130^th, Roger Duffield 148^th, Geoffrey Fairfull 151^st, Bob Sees 152^nd completed the men’s team who finished second in Pool B on the day. Dawn Shilling’s great team run in 62^nd helped the ladies to finish third on the day and second overall in Pool B to maintain their runner-up spot for the season. In the junior race, Abigail Morgan finished 46th and 6^th in her age group and Georgina Haskey-Jones was 52nd.
