Simon runs the National

Simon Morgan travelled to Roundhay Park in Leeds to compete in the National Cross-Country Championships, finishing 874th out of 1328 finishers on undulating 12km course with a steep climb at the end of each lap. He was able to move through the field on the second and third laps but, with a mile to go found himself neck and neck with an Ipswich Jaffa runner, but managed to push on and finish 12 seconds and 10 places above him, completing the course in 54:10, almost a minute inside his target time.
